Have you ever been told that God never lets anything get to you that you don’t have the power to endure? Scripture says otherwise. This Chat is based out of 2 Corinthians 1:8-10.

[PLAY]

This episode, as you might have already guessed, is a continuation of the episode from the previous Sunday.

[PLAY]

On the matter of what you should be thanking God for.

[PLAY]

Scripture tells us that we must not put stumbling stones in the path of another, but what do you do when you are that stone?

[PLAY]

The Child of God is owned by God, and held fast by God, and should be happy to display that fact in their lives, perhaps even on their persons.

[PLAY]

A Word of encouragement from Psalm 121 for those who find themselves seemingly hopeless in battling against the wickedness of the world around them.

[PLAY]

NOTE: Once again, there were upload difficulties (the last 22 seconds of out-tro music got clipped in this case; not really a big deal, but it is quite annoying. The provider at the upload spot seems to get a thrill from interfering with me uploading my own recordings of my own voice and my own music to my own site. Go figure: pirates go unhindered while legitimate uploaders get screwed with).

While probably very weak, this is an effort to encourage those who are called to leave one congregation for another to ignore the nay-sayers and follow the LORD.

[PLAY]

First, a warning that the very end of this episode might be clipped as I had difficulty in the upload.

A question of prudence in dealing with God is that one must obey God and not men. Amos (a prophet who was a farmer, not a priest, or pastor, etc.), commented that the prudent one would keep silent in such wicked times—then went right on talking, as if saying “If I was smart I’d shut up right now. But, then, who ever accused me of being smart?” Amos was a prophet of God who obeyed God rather than men. I seek to do the same.

[PLAY]

A call and a challenge to the people of God to speak out for the Truth and the Word of God, calling the unrepentant back to God in repentance and faith.

[PLAY]

How to survive interesting times.

[PLAY]

An admonishment to those who claim Christ to remember how richly UNDESERVED is THEIR Peace Prize.

[PLAY]

As the title implies, this Chat is about recognizing your need for, and begging forgiveness. It is not about me airing my dirty laundry. Rather, I have provided an example so that you will examine your own life and do as I—in this recording—have attempted (yet again) in mine. The woman involved here is a very special Lady, so please pray that the LORD would honor my efforts and grant that she would hear, that her heart would be softened, and that reconciliation shall occur.

[PLAY]

This is a compilation of various recorded snippets from throughout one day in my life. While not intended as particularly profound, it afforded me the opportunity to get thoughts down as they happened, to offer up prayer and to ask for prayer. That said, it does end up with a short devotional anyway. I pray it blesses; I pray it helps; and, of course, I ask ALL of you to continue to pray—and to offer up any help that you can as well. I know that I make you guys jump through hoops to do that, but I need a different venue than PayPal to receive donations through this site, I cannot afford to go pro on this site, as I am already struggling with paying bills—and rent is due in the next couple days as well. But if you go to my web site (given at the end of every episode) and do a bit of exploring, you should be able to work out a way to donate that way.

God bless you, and keep praying; praying that He would provide for His workers, as He promises in His Word; praying that He would indeed make me Holy in His Divine eyes—that He would continue to sanctify me and not give up; and that He would give us all a more immediate ray of Hope through His Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

This is a rather raw appeal for behavior and prayer. If you want to know more, listen to the recording. Be warned, though: if you claim to be Christian, you probably won’t like what I have to say.

[PLAY]

Sharing my Christian Testimony from a recorded rehearsal for a prayer meeting, the recording having been made in November of 2007. It was a little painful for me to listen to (because of reliving bad memories), much less edit. But, one must share their testimony.

[PLAY]

No matter the consequences, no matter the trials, no matter the hatred that gets heaped up on you as a result, be like Christ. Christ NEVER compromised with evil, but got up in its face and told it off right to its face. Be like Christ. “When you are facing rulers and authorities do not worry what to say; I will give you the words to say.” Whenever you are dealing with someone who is not in Jesus Christ you are dealing with one of those rulers and authorities, so don’t worry what to say, because Christ will give you the words to say. Do not EVER compromise with evil, but keep telling the truth. Be like Christ!

[PLAY]

Encouragement to remember to see the hand of God in every situation—EVERY situation.

[PLAY]

On trusting God to provide, trusting God in being an agent of His provision, and on acting for righteousness in government.

[PLAY]

On the matter of guarding your heart from unGodliness of ALL sorts.

[PLAY]

On having an accurate appraisal of yourself in the eyes of God.

[PLAY]

On the difference between Mighty Oaks of Righteousness and Weeping Willows of the World

[PLAY]

The faithful messenger accurately, without adulteration—and without “improvement”—simply delivers the message they are charged to deliver—no matter what.

[PLAY]

On the evil of assuming that you know the heart of someone you’ve never met and never spent a moment of private time with.

[PLAY]

On a proper attitude in approaching God.

[PLAY]

On guilt, the need for prayer, and God's merciful and amazing grace.

[PLAY]

On our treatment of others in these difficult times.

[PLAY]

On the matter of fear in the life of a Christian, its place, and why it is a sinful thing to engage in. Also some requests for prayer.

[PLAY]

An expression of encouragement for those who belong to the LORD.

[PLAY]

Speaking about my past and admonishing people to trust Jesus Christ.

[PLAY]

To quote Charles Haddon Spurgeon, “Pray for prayer”. A plea for prayer and a beseeching of the LORD for His divine Providence.

[PLAY]

This is just a short Chat, praying for the Nation on this day of over-reaction and self-congratulation.

[PLAY]

This is probably the most popular of all of my Chats, being downloaded on a regular basis directly from my own web site, http://billsey-christian.net. Because of the subject matter, I find this interesting, being that that subject matter has to do with preventing disaster by loving the outcast—and the responsibility of those present for not having so acted, and thereby failing to prevent disaster that they could have stopped before it ever arose in the heart of the outcast.

[PLAY]

6 or 7 hymns sung, plus a little admonition

[PLAY]

On obeying God in spite of how it might feel.

[PLAY]

On human “wisdom” as opposed to God’s wisdom.

[PLAY]

Satan doesn't understand God either.

[PLAY]

Paying attention to how God sees you instead of how men see you.

[PLAY]

Based out of Zechariah 4:6

This site is one source for hearing my Chats. The main site is http://billsey-christian.net/mp3s/Chats which will list out a directory listing of links for you to choose from. You can find the titles of the various chats by downloading and reading the PDF file of Chat titles.

I hope that the LORD uses me to guide you.

Praise His mighty Name!

Amen!
